WATCH MY LATEST SHORTMatt has directed six feature films, three of which he also wrote. His coming-of-age feature, FACE 2 FACE, premiered at the Edmonton International Film Festival, where it won the "Brian Hendricks Jury Award for Innovation." After a two-year run on NETFLIX, it was released on Paramount +, Epix, and can now be viewed on iTunes, Amazon Prime, and other platforms. Several of his thrillers have been acquired by Lifetime Movie Network. His first feature, THE PACT, won top awards and official selection in 22 film festivals around the world. Matt has written, directed, and produced an array of pilots, web series, and award-winning short films, including the festival favorite HIT OR MISS starring Danielle Savre, and the acclaimed comedy series STAYING TOGETHER. He also penned the script for the horror feature ANTIDOTE, released by Uncork’d Entertainment. He recently directed a Christmas movie starring Jen Lilley, now in post-production, with distribution through Artist View Entertainment.
As a theatre director, he has worked in New York City at The York Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Abingdon Theatre, American Theatre of Actors, The Gallery Players, The Rosetta Festival, The NAMT Festival, and Radio City Music Hall. Regionally he has directed at The Fulton Theatre, The Walnut Street Theatre, The Theatre at Monmouth, and Pennsylvania Centre Stage where he directed the world premiere of the musical ORDINARY DAYS. Matt began his professional career as an actor, performing in national tours, Off-Broadway, and regionally, including five seasons in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular dancing alongside the Rockettes! He has an MFA in Directing from Penn State and a BFA in musical theatre performance from the University of Michigan. He spent eight years on faculty at Penn State, where he taught acting, directing, and musical theatre. Currently, he teaches acting, screenwriting, and producing at New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA. |
